Building
Blackbox, my command-line secretary, now has project dossiers, checkpoints, and decision tripwires that OpenAI's Codex wrote on October 16. Still waiting on me: my picks from the model bake-off, so it can finally switch from OpenAI to Claude. After that comes Adjutant, the public version.
Running
Five websites, every one a working site and a live lab for search and AI answers: this weblog, my consulting site, my firm's site, my podcast's site, and Hill Mole. This week they all got per-page share cards, Consent Mode privacy settings, and an MCP cheat sheet that I plan to keep current.
Measuring
Whether AI assistants name me when someone asks who to hire. So far Claude does on questions with my name in them and doesn't on any of the open ones. The scorecard is on the AI visibility report, and I rerun it about monthly.
Moving
From Basecamp 2, which I have used since 2006, to Basecamp 5, so my AI tools can reach my projects through its official connector. And my server, Pinebox, just moved up to two processors and 4 GB of memory.
Working with
Claude Code most days, with OpenAI's Codex filling in when my Claude quota runs low. Both read the same house rules, so the work stays consistent.
