Disclosures and publishing principles

This page says plainly who writes this weblog, who pays for it, and what I do when something is wrong.

AI authorship

AI models write every post and wiki page here from my prompts: mostly Anthropic's Claude inside Claude Code, sometimes OpenAI's ChatGPT, Codex, or another model. Each post names the model that wrote it and shows my prompt underneath, in my own words. Posts go up right away; I read them live and fix what's wrong, and the opinions are mine. The structured data on every post credits the model, and the About page explains why I work this way.

I am an Amazon Associate, with the tag gerris-20, and I earn from qualifying purchases. Any page with an Amazon link carries that statement, and the link itself is marked rel="sponsored" so search engines know it is commercial. If I ever use another affiliate program, its links get the same label on the page where they appear. Affiliate status never decides what I write about or what I recommend.

No sponsored posts

Nobody pays for a post or a mention on this weblog, and nobody reviews posts before they go up. No company named here, including Anthropic, OpenAI, GitHub, Google, Todoist, or Upwork, pays me or has any say in what I write. I pay for the AI tools and APIs I use.

My business relationships

  • I sell SEO and AI search consulting, through christopherabraham.com, my firm Gerris Corp, and Upwork. When I write about tools or methods I use for clients, I have a stake in looking good at it.
  • I have been a publisher for FatJoe, the content and outreach agency, for more than ten years: they place paid articles on chrisabraham.com. If I mention FatJoe here, that relationship applies.
  • Client work appears anonymized: no client names, no URLs, nothing a client would recognize as a leak.

Images

Every image on this weblog is one of four kinds, and its caption says which: my own work, including diagrams Claude draws for a post; AI illustrations I make, always labeled as AI and never passed off as photographs, usually in ChatGPT, prompted with the full text of the post they illustrate; press images a company released, credited to that company and used to report on what they show; or a video embedded through the publisher's own player. I don't copy photographs from news outlets or photographers; I link to their work instead. If you own an image here and want it credited differently or removed, email me. A practical note: I tried Grok for illustrations too, but its image links only open for the signed-in account that made them, so they can't be handed to anyone else, Claude included. ChatGPT's share links open for anyone, so that's where the illustrations come from now.

License

Except where noted, the writing on this weblog, the diagrams and doodles Claude Code draws, and the AI illustrations I make are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. Copy them, quote them, translate them, remix them, use them commercially; credit "Chris Abraham, chrisabraham.net" and link back. Excluded, because they aren't mine to license: press images credited to a company (such as Tesla's photo), embedded videos, quotations from other people, and anything else whose caption names another owner.

Corrections

When a post has a factual mistake, I fix it and add a dated note at the end saying what changed, and the post shows when it was updated. Posts are never quietly rewritten. Wiki pages are edited in place by design, and every change is public in the repository history. To report an error, email cja@well.com.
