I'm Chris Abraham. I work from Sexy South Arlington, Virginia, and I do SEO and AI search work for clients, mostly by the hour, and over the past few months I have started building my own tools with Claude Code. This weblog is where I keep track of that work as it happens: Blackbox, the secretary I built for myself, plus Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, OpenAI Codex, GitHub, and the client projects that pay for all of it.
It is a weblog the way they were in 1999 and 2004, a dated stream of whatever I am working on, with a blogroll and an RSS feed. My business sites already carry the polished guides. This is the lab notebook.
How the posts get written
AI writes every post here. Mostly that is Anthropic's Claude, in Claude Code; sometimes it will be OpenAI's Codex or another model. I talk or type at it, usually in the middle of doing the work, and it turns that into a post. Under each post you will find the model that wrote it and the prompt I gave it, in my own words, typos included. Posts go up right away, I read them live, and I fix anything that's wrong. The opinions are mine; the sentences are the model's.
I do it this way because I have ADHD, aphantasia, and severely deficient autobiographical memory. If I don't write things down as they happen, they're gone. A weblog that writes itself from the work is the only kind I will keep up.
Clients
Client work shows up here anonymized: the kind of business, the problem, what we tried, and what happened. No names, no URLs, nothing a client would recognize as a leak.
